Situated halfway between the Commission and the Parliament, the Chapel for Europe offers a space for spiritual reflection and encouragement, as well as a quiet place for personal prayer or ecumenical fellowship. Administered by the Jesuits, the Chapel is an ecumenical venture that aims to provide not only the above facilities but also aims to be a true spiritual home at the heart of Europe.
I have been the Anglican attachment to the Chapel since April 2013, and in that time I have helped the Director and other members of staff planned and host conferences on topics ranging from anger management to a theology of the body to Schuman’s dream for a soul for Europe. I have also helped with the social events that the Chapel hosts regularly: movie nights, jazz cafés, and an ecumenical prayer lunch.
If you wish to find out more, check out the Chapel at their website. Or come and check us out physically at Rue Van Maerlant 22-24.
